Trip in a Tweet Week 1 Recap: Finding the Silver Lining in Travel Disasters

Last week, TravelShark launched Trip in a Tweet, a social media contest that asks users to share their best travel stories in 140 characters or fewer. Each week, we’ll announce a new theme, a new prize, and eventually, a new winner.
Last week’s theme was “A Travel Disaster Turned Triumph.” We recieved a deluge of hysterical travel tweets all week. Turns out, if you look on the bright side, you can usually find the silver lining triumph in even the most hair-brained disasters.
Major themes included airline mishaps, hotel calamities, lost luggage messes, and horror-story-turned-hilarious road trips.
